Senior Assistant Finance Officer - University Office
The post holder shall be responsible for the provision of financial management and investment services and shall report to the University Finance Officer.
Implementing, monitoring and reviewing stores, financial and investment policies, plans, strategies, procedures and regulations;
Preparing and monitoring Central Office budget and cash flows;
Preparing and interpreting financial statements and other reports;
Facilitating the management and revaluation of assets and stores;
Facilitating efficient utilization of financial resources;
Coordinating insurance and pension portfolios;
Establishing investment ventures;
Identifying and managing financial risks;
Supervising and appraising staff;
Servicing University Committees.
Applicants should have a Masters’ degrees in a related field and ACCA or CIMA
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior finance position, hands-on experience of SAGE ACCPAC and proven experience of working effectively as part of a focused team and proven ability of coordinating a variety of tasks in a busy and complex higher education set up.
